| SAFER NIGHTS IN WELLINGTON |
Wellington is a safer place thanks to the new multi-agency ‘Safer Nights’ project. One of the main successes of the project is the creation of a local centre or safe haven called ‘Sanktuary’. Set up four months ago, ‘Sanktuary’ offers party goers a safe place to wait for taxis and lifts home after a night out. The centre also provides refreshments, music and support to people who might be distressed, disorientated and at some personal risk. [Read more] |
